Maurice O'Reilly - Managing Director and owner of Make$ Cents Accounting.
Maurice likes fish and enjoys a slice of orange cake with lemon icing, and hates leeks. Loves to play golf and get on his push bike for a couple of hours to clear his mind. Also an avid armchair sportsman particularly tennis, golf and rugby.

Has a season ticket for the rugby at the "Cake Tin" but Canterbury Crusaders rule!
Nalynee Tuhi - Senior Accountant

Nalynee is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 11 years' experience in a variety of Accounting/Finance roles with Manukau and Northland District Health Boards, the Ministry of Health and the New Zealand Defence Force. Previous roles include Financial Accountant - Assets, Internal Auditor, Funding Advisor and a Business Advisor/Graduate Accountant.

Nalynee started with Makes Cents Accounting in August 2018 and is enjoying the learning opportunities/challenges and relationships with our existing and new clients.

Apart from work, Nalynee loves spending time with her two young children, family and friends. She enjoys holidaying with family (money and annual leave dependant), jamming on the guitar, singing and playing indoor netball. She enjoys home cooked meals and baking, weeding and pruning in the garden while the kids are playing in the backyard.

Susan Salvador Gamarra- Assistant Accountant

Susan has more than 16 year's experience working in the New Zealand Chartered Accounting Sector, dealing with small to medium businesses.

She likes to get to know her clients as it helps her to understand their needs and respect their values.

In April 1994, Susan migrated to NZ from Peru. She loves her Latin culture, every Wednesday they have a family get together and on her spare time if any after being the Soccer Manager for her son's team and a Taxi Service for her kids, she likes to go for big walks with her 4 dogs, attend all the Hurricanes & All Black games and going Fishing.

Courtney Nielsen - Office Administrator (on maternity leave)
Courtney has come from a background of a range of Administrative and Case Management Roles with experience dealing with people from all walks of life. She enjoys a challenge and to keep busy so isn't afraid of what you might throw her way!

Outside of work if winning competitions was a skill then Courtney has mastered this one with some crazy luck on her side. She spends her time with her young family, enjoying the outdoors and trying her hand in the kitchen, nothing at chef level but she still loves to give new recipes a go!
Natalie Walker - Office Administrator
Natalie has previously worked in administration and reception roles in Wellington City and is enjoying the more relaxed pace of Upper Hutt.

Most weekend if she is not catching up with friends or family, she is busy doing renovations to her recently purchased first home. She enjoys doing yoga and pilates.


Catherine Mason - Client Administrator 

Catherine has joined us while Courtney is on maternity leave. Catherine has worked in finance, IT and customer service roles.

Catherine has two boys in intermediate and college, so when she is not working she is running around after them including spending a lot of time watching their cricket games and trainings.
